O \u00e1lbum chega como a culmina\u00e7\u00e3o de anos de constru\u00e7\u00e3o constante, de uma longa sequ\u00eancia de palcos de festivais e slots de abertura de alto perfil at\u00e9 sua recente estreia no Coachella, datas atuais de turn\u00ea com Deftones e um single de destaque em \u201cCRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE\u201d. Nascida em uma fam\u00edlia do Sri Lanka na \u00c1frica do Sul e criada na Austr\u00e1lia, Vandal chegou ao punk por um caminho improv\u00e1vel, da soul, gospel e m\u00fasica do sul da \u00cdndia que absorveu em casa ao treinamento formal de jazz no Victorian College of the Arts, onde colegas de classe lhe apresentaram Radiohead, Fugazi, Pixies e Bj\u00f6rk, explodindo efetivamente suas ideias sobre como emo\u00e7\u00f5es poderiam ser expressas atrav\u00e9s da m\u00fasica. \u201cPara mim, Ian MacKaye \u00e9 t\u00e3o expressivo quanto Billie Holiday\u201d, diz ela.
